WarCraft movie won’t be released until June 2016
The WarCraft movie has been postponed again. Instead of in March 2016, it is now decided to release a few months later, in June. It’s not the first time the film has been delayed. According to the makers, it will be a mix between real images and CGI.
On Twitter, director Duncan Jones know that the reason for the postponement is that publisher Universal prefers to release the film in the summer. That means the film won’t hit theaters on its original March 11, 2016 release date, but will instead hit theaters on June 10, 2016. That goes for North America, by the way; whether European cinemas will receive the film on the same date is not yet known.
The WarCraft movie was also previously postponed. Initially, it was aimed at a release at the end of this year. Reportedly, the makers have received a large budget for the film. Director Jones previously said that both real and computer-generated images will be used. Meanwhile, WarCraft is already in the ‘post-production’ phase.
WarCraft is about the conflict between the humans and the Orcs, or Alliance and Horde. The well-known WarCraft characters Durotan and Lothar will be featured in locations that also appeared in the games.
