Download Wine 8.19
A new development build of Wine has been released with version number 8.19. Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API and allows you to run DOS and Windows programs on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris and macOS. A large group of developers contribute to Wine and it has been decided to release a new so-called development version every two weeks instead of waiting until a number of new features are ready. A stable edition is published a few times a year. The database with applications that work under Wine, with or without the help of minor adjustments, contains 29,159 titles at the time of writing, which is 37 more than a month ago. Since version 8.17, the following changes and improvements have been made:
What's new in version 8.19:
- Mono engine updated to version 8.1.0.
- More DirectMusic implementation.
- Various bug fixes
What's new in version 8.18:
- Bundled FluidSynth library for DirectMusic.
- More window management in the Wayland driver.
- More effect support in Direct3D 10.
- Various bug fixes.
