Download CCleaner 6.17

Piriform has released version 6.17 of CCleaner. This program can clean up various parts of Windows. This includes temporary Windows and Internet files, but also unnecessary junk from a large number of other programs, including Windows Media Player, Google Toolbar, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, WinRAR and so on. In addition, the number of programs that CCleaner can clean up the mess can easily be expanded with the CCEnhancer program.

In addition to cleanup, CCleaner can also fix registry and shortcut errors, customize the list of programs that start with Windows, and manage cookies. From this version onwards, the overall condition of the computer can also be tested. In addition to a free version, there is also a pro version, which offers, among other things, an automatic update function. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Taking the hassle out of PC maintenance

• We have improved junk cleaning for more than a dozen apps including Adobe Creative Cloud, Garmin Express, iTop Screen Recorder, µTorrent, OpenVPN Connect, SyncToy, TeamViewer, Terabox, VideoPad Video Editor, VMware Workstation, or Youcam.
• The new Driver Updater engine is more stable and better performing, and its database now includes more than 70 million driver updates.

Fixing bugs and other improvements

• We resolved an issue where some customers couldn't input the '@' symbol into the email field when activating CCleaner.
• We updated the pop-up warning that displays when you try disabling Smart Cleaning, to make it clearer.
• We also implemented minor improvements in user interface, stability, and security.
