The Sims 4 will be free-to-play on October 18

The Sims 4 simulation game will be free-to-play from October 18. This applies to all versions of the game, which is available for PC, Mac, the PlayStation consoles and the Xbox consoles. However, this is only for the base game. Players still have to pay for the expansions.

Electronic Arts reports that it continues to develop new packs and expansions for the game. Between September 14 and October 17, all players who own the base game will receive the ‘Desert Luxury Kit’. The package includes various furniture for the houses and gardens. The base game of The Sims 4 now costs 19.99 euros.

In addition, EA Play and EA Play Pro members will have access to new content on October 18. The EA Play version of The Sims 4 will receive a new expansion pack. The EA Play Pro version will receive the same Expansion Pack as the EA Play version and an Accessory Pack.

The Sims 4 was released on September 2, 2014. The game now has twelve Expansion Packs, twelve Game Packs, eighteen Accessory Packs and fifteen Kits.
