An American retailer has put the specifications and features of the Google Nest Hub 2 online. The successor to the Nest Hub, which was called Home Hub at release, seems to be appearing on the market soon. The Nest Hub 2 includes a Soli radar.

The Soli radar is there for Motion Sense, presumably gesture control of the smart home speaker with built-in screen, retailer B&H writes. The Soli radar was in the Google Pixel 4 phones from 2019 to let users make gestures above the screen, but did not return in the Pixel 5 in 2020. Soli is also in a Nest thermostat that Google announced last year.

In addition, there is a color sensor for the improvement of Ambient EQ, a function to adjust the color temperature to the ambient light. That feature is already in the Home Hub from 2018, which was named Nest Hub after its release.

The Nest Hub 2 also has a thermometer on board. The 7″ touchscreen has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. That is the same diagonal and resolution as the predecessor from 2018. It is still unknown when Google will announce the device. B&H has not put any photos online of the Nest Hub 2. The device is for $100 in the web store.
