Apple’s VR headset would have two 8k screens, eye tracking technology and various cameras to visualize reality, reports The Information. The headset would cost $3,000.

The headset also has a removable headband, reports The Information. The 8k resolution is relatively high. For example, Facebook’s VR headset Oculus Quest 2 has 1832×1920 pixels per eye. The Pimax 8K has two 4k displays. The price range of the Apple headset is therefore a different one. As previously emerged, it would be an expensive product and according to The Information, Apple is internally talking about a price of around 3000 dollars.

The headset would be controlled via eye movements and hand movements. In addition, Apple is said to be working on a ‘thimble-like’ device for input. How that works exactly is not clear. The Information repeats the information from a few weeks ago that the VR headset should hit the market next year. Apple has not responded.
