Screenshot shows possible Intel Raptor Lake processor with 68MB cache
Intel’s upcoming Raptor Lake processors may get 68MB cache. That’s according to a CPU-Z screenshot that was released recently. The current Alder Lake generation offers a maximum of 44MB cache. Raptor Lake is scheduled for later this year.

In particular, the amount of L2 cache seems to be increasing at Raptor Lake, according to a screenshot of Twitter user OneRaichu, which has historically shared accurate information about future Intel CPUs. These thirteenth-generation Intel Core CPUs would get 2MB L2 cache per P-core and 4MB per cluster of E-cores. The chip shown also has 36MB L3 cache, where the current Core i9-12900K has 30MB.
It is not known exactly which Raptor Lake processor is shown in the screenshot, as it does not mention a model name. However, it seems to be a top model. The Raptor Lake chip shown in the screenshot has 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, for a total of 24 cores and 32 threads. Intel previously confirmed that Raptor Lake will ship with that core configuration to the max. This means that the chip would have 32MB of L2 cache. Combined with the 36MB L3 cache, it has a total of 68MB of L2 and L3 cache.
Intel will release its Raptor Lake processors later this year. It is a further development of Alder Lake, which, according to Intel, will include extra E-cores and new overclocking functions. Raptor Lake will again use socket LGA1700. Next year, Meteor Lake will follow, with which Intel will switch to a kind of chiplets called ’tiles’, and a more advanced Intel 4 process with euv.
