Alleged release dates of Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Super video cards leak
The alleged release schedule of Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce RTX 40 Super graphics cards has been leaked. An embargo calendar from VideoCardz shows that the releases of the Super variants of the RTX 4070, 4070 Ti and 4080 will be spread throughout the month of January.
The release schedule, which in is owned by tech website VideoCardz, has a total of seven different embargo moments. These are divided between the announcement, the review publications and the actual release dates. The schedule states that the three RTX 40 Super video cards will all be announced on January 8. That was already the expectation; Nvidia will hold a presentation at the CES trade fair in Las Vegas on that date.
More than a week later, on Wednesday January 17, the RTX 4070 should be released first. The first reviews of those GPUs will be published a day earlier. These reviews are about models that should appear in stores for the recommended retail price. The review embargo of more expensive RTX 4070 Super models expires on release day. The other RTX 40 Super cards follow a similar embargo schedule. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will be released on January 24, with the first reviews a day earlier. The RTX 4080 Super will be released last, on January 31, according to the VideoCardz document.
Rumors have been circulating for weeks about the arrival of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40 Super desktop video cards. They will be improved versions of their current RTX 40 non-Super counterparts, including more CUDA cores. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super should also have more VRAM compared to the regular RTX 4070 Ti. Nvidia has not yet officially announced the arrival of these GPUs.
