Download GPG Suite 2016.08

GPG Suite aims to provide an easy installation of GnuPG and related tools on the macOS platform. With GnuPG you can secure communication flows and data with encryption and digital signatures. It supports both OpenPGP and s/mime standards. The developers of GPG Suite have released version 2016.08 with the following announcement:

This is an important bug fix release.

Unfortunately a subtle change to our auto check mechanism in the last release broke the automatic check for updates. In order make sure you are getting automatic updates in the future, please install this release or update from GPGPreferences pressing the “Check Now” button.

GPGMail is not yet ready for macOS 10.12 Sierra. We’re actively working on supporting it, but for the time being, please hold off from installing Sierra if you want to continue using GPGMail.

Fixes

• We fixed a glitch in our auto updater.
• Don’t restart GPG Keychain so fast. This will prevent GPG Keychain from launching while other components where not ready yet. The result was an empty key list.
