Download Opus audio codec 1.1.3
Opus is an open and royalty-free audio compression format developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force. It is built into Chromium and Firefox, media players such as VLC, foobar2000 and Amarok, and TeamSpeak, among others. Skype and Mumble plan to add support. A few days ago, version 1.1.3 of the Opus audio codec was released and this included some bug fixes and support for Ambisonics added.
Opus 1.1.3 includes:
- Neon optimizations improving performance on ARMv7 and ARMv8 by up to 15%
- Fixes some issues with 16-bit platforms (eg TI C55x)
- Fixes to comfort noise generation (CNG)
- Documenting that PLC packets can also be 2 bytes
- Includes experimental ambisonics work (–enable-ambisonics)
None of the bugs that were fixed were regressions about previous releases.
