TP-Link has released new firmware for the Archer C9. This dual-band router offers WiFi in the flavors b, g, n and ac, with throughputs up to 1900Mbit/s when using both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. In addition, there are four gigabit network ports and two USB ports, with which a hard drive or USB stick can be shared over the network. The changelog for this release can be found below.

New Features/Enhancement:

  • Added the management web UI for smart phones.
  • Added the options for SIP ALG function.
  • Optimized the IPv6 function.
  • Improved the stability of management web UI.

Bug Fixed:

  • Fixed the bug that users in Russia can’t watch some IPTV channels through ISP Planeta.
  • Fixed the bug that users can’t access the management web UI if the ESET anti-virus software was installed on the PC.
  • Fixed the bug that it was failed to dial up to L2TP VPN through ISP Beeline.
  • Fixed the bug that IGMP Proxy can’t work in PPPoE mode.
  • Fixed the bug that router dropped frequently in PPPoE mode.
  • Fixed the bug that FTP function might detect the capacity of HDD inaccurately.
  • Fixed the bug that it was unable to hide SSID when WDS function was enabled.
