Download Classic Shell 4.2.5c / 4.2.6 Beta

New versions of Classic Shell have been released. The first is an update of version 4.2.5 released last November, which only contains an updated SHA256 certificate. The other is a beta that includes support for the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Classic Shell can make changes to the appearance of Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, the start button and the start menu in Windows 7, 8 and 10. In Windows 8 or later, it can also add a classic start button and start menu. The program is no longer open sourcebut still free to use.

• Taskbar skinning – change background color, texture, and text color
• New Metallic skin with many new skin features
• New menu animations

• Ability to change the font and size of the status bar in Explorer
• Multiple minor improvements and bug fixes
