Download CPA 0.40 beta
Cocoa Packet Analyzer is able to analyze network traffic stored in a pcap file to dissect and analyze. For example, it can currently recognize ARP, IP, PPPoE, TCP, UDP and IGMP, among others. As the name suggests, the program is written in cocoa for a Mac OS X environment. Jens Francke is busy developing CPA and has released beta version 0.40 as a result. The list of changes looks like this:
Version 0.40:
- threading and memory optimizations (should be able to open files with many packets now)
- added “jump to packet” menu
- modularized PPPoES/D protocol
- added contextual menus (PacketView, PacketViewHeaderColumn, InfoView)
- added protocol-history to packetView
- support for truncated packets
- opening larger files brings up a progress sheet
- some GUI work.
