AMD announces Radeon Pro W7700 workstation graphics card for $999
AMD has announced a new video card for workstations: the Radeon Pro W7700. The video card is based on RDNA 3 architecture and has 16GB of GDDR6 memory on board. The Pro W7700 should cost $999.
The Radeon Pro W7700 features a Navi 32 GPU, just like the Radeon RX 7800 XT for consumers. The PCIe 4.0 video card is backwards compatible with PCIe 3.0 connections and has 48 compute units. They support hardware ray tracing. The maximum clock speed of the Pro W7700 is 2.3GHz and the card has 64MB Infinity Cache.
The W7700 has 16GB of GDDR6 memory in combination with a 256-bit memory bus. The memory bandwidth is 576GB/s according to AMD. The W7700 has a TBP of 190W and has a single 8-pin connection for power supply. The card has a dual slot design and is 24.1cm long. The W7700 has four DisplayPort 2.1 connections and will be available from November 13 for $999.
Earlier this year, AMD announced the Radeon Pro W7500 and W7600 for midrange workstations. The W7600 and W7500 are both based on the RDNA 3 architecture and have 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The W7600 has a suggested retail price of $599, while the W7500 will be available for $429.
