In reality, malware was downloaded that compromised users’ social media accounts. The tech giant has submitted around 300 requests for the removal of these advertisements since April.

In addition, Google is taking legal action against scammers who submit false copyright claims through dozens of Google accounts. According to Google, the scammers are abusing the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to disadvantage competitors. The DMCA must protect internet users and copyright holders.
