Download Windows Repair 3.7.3

Tweaking.com has released a new version of Windows Repair. This program is capable of fixing many problems, such as errors in the registry or with file permissions, or caused by a virus. The repairs are extensive, so it is recommended that you only use the program when there are few other options left. Before it starts the repairs, it offers options to check the hard drive for errors, scan the system files and of course create a backup of the registry and a system restore point. The program can be used for free, even in commercial environments. You can get one for twenty dollars pro license be purchased, which provides additional options and supports the further development of the program. In version 3.7.3, the following improvements have been made:

• Fixed bug where the reset registry permissions didn’t run on Windows Vista. This was caused by a simple typing mistake on my part, where an “OR” should have been an “AND”, math is picky like that.
• Fixed bug where only part of the reset file permissions ran on Windows Vista. The first part of the repair would run but the 3rd part to run on the profiles did not. This was caused by the same bug that was fixed above.
• Made a few spelling corrections. Spelling is my Achilles very after all……. long live spell check!
• Some more code tweaks and cleanup, no bugs with these, just improvements. But it is amazing how much more you can find when you finally get some sleep.
• Updated default registry and file permissions for Windows 7, 8 and 10 with all updates as of Dec. 21, 2015.
