Apple has released the 10.10.3 update for OS X Yosemite in the Mac App Store. With 10.10.3, the manufacturer replaces its iPhoto app with Photos, a completely new program for managing photos on the desktop operating system of the American electronics maker.

Users can find the update in the Updates tab of the Mac App Store since Wednesday evening, writes 9to5 Mac. The changelog states that users can transfer the photo collection by following the instructions in the program when it starts up for the first time.

Apple added iPhoto to OS X in 2002 as a photo manager. Not only does iPhoto merge into Photos, but the manufacturer has also stopped developing Aperture. In addition to the addition of Photos, there are other changes in OS X 10.10.3, such as Safari no longer saving favicons when the user is browsing in private mode.
