The Windows Club has released a new version of IE9 Tweaker. With this tool you can tweak Microsoft’s latest version of Internet Explorer. For example, it is possible to increase the number of rows of most visited websites, which are shown on the about:tabs page, from two to a maximum of five. It is also possible to create a list of websites for that page yourself, which therefore does not change due to surfing behaviour. In the new version, which does not have a higher version number, but is simply called IE9 Tweaker Plus, the number of tweaks has been expanded to 27.

IE9 Tweaker Plus allows you to tweak, customize and change over 27 settings in Internet Explorer 9 RTM, all from one single window. It offers the following tweaks:

• Use Clear Type fonts
• Toggle Caret Browsing

If you are unable to disable ClearType Font in IE9 using this app, the alternative is to disable Hardware Acceleration as Microsoft has since tied ClearType into the Accelerated Graphics. To Disable: Internet Options\Advanced Tab check, Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.
