Two former Battlefield developers have opened a game studio. The studio operates under the name The Outsiders. The developers are said to have started developing an RPG for the PC.

The Outsiders was founded by David Goldfarb and Benjamin Cousins. Both game developers have worked on the Battlefield series at DICE, but decided to set up their own studio. In an interview with Gamesindustry, Goldfarb says that The Outsiders wants to focus on the market segment between the top titles with budgets of up to $200 million and the small indie games with budgets of around $1 million.

For example, he sees bread in games with a budget of approximately 3 to 8 million dollars, partly because they can do well on Steam.

The first game that The Outsiders is working on is an RPG title for the PC. A title has not yet been announced and the game studio’s still bare website does not reveal much about the role playing game, apart from a few sketches. A release date has not yet been released.
