ING suffers from a malfunction in Mobile Banking – update
ING is dealing with a malfunction in its mobile banking service on Saturday morning. Customers report that they are unable to log in via their mobile devices. It is still possible to arrange banking matters via the desktop.
Around 10:30 am on Saturday morning, the first reports of a malfunction started to arrive at ING. The mobile application gives a generic error message that Mobile Banking is not available, as is usual in the event of a malfunction. ING itself has not yet released anything about the malfunction, so nothing is yet clear about the cause. It is possible to log in to the desktop.
ING already had a number of short-term outages this month. Last year it turned out that the bank is the leader in the number of disruptions in online payment traffic. Improvements were promised, but malfunctions continue to occur regularly.
Update 11:34 AM: it turned out to be a short outage. Mobile Banking is now working again.
