Renders may show Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro with wide camera island
Renders have emerged from the alleged Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones. The smartphones have a design that is radically different from previous Pixel phones. The two phones will have a camera island on the back that runs from edge to edge.
YouTuber Jon Prosser says he got images of the two phones and based on them together with Ian Zelbo to have made the renders. The renders show that the two smartphones will be redesigned with a three-tone color scheme. The most striking design element is the wide camera island that runs from edge to edge at the rear.
There are two to three cameras in this island, with the Pro variant having the most cameras. There is also a flash next to it. Prosser has no specifications for the devices; It is not clear what type of cameras are involved. At the front, there is a single camera hole in the middle of the screen at the top. The smartphones have a fingerprint scanner behind the screen and, according to Prosser, a curved screen.
Prosser says he saw three different color schemes. The Pixel 6 has a large white area on the back with the letter G. Above it is the black camera island and above it an orange panel. The edge of this smartphone is black. The Pixel 6 Pro has a similar color scheme, except that the white area here has a salmon pink color. In the third color scheme, the Pro has a champagne colored area instead of an orange box. The rim also has this champagne color.
Android Police Writer Max Weinbach confirms that the design of the renders is correct, only the colors are not correct according to him. Weinbach does not provide further details about the colors. He does say that the smartphones will receive new camera hardware and are equipped with Google’s own Whitechapel soc.
Google is expected to launch the Pixel 6 smartphones in the fall. According to rumors, the company will also release its own smartwatch.
