Activision gives Call of Duty: Warzone a new map and postpones Warzone Mobile
The smartphone game Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will not be released this year, but in the spring of next year. Developer Activision does not provide an explanation for the postponement. In addition, the company reports that the PC and console versions of Warzone will have a new map called Urzikstan.
Activision announced Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile in September 2022 and then said the game would be released in 2023. The game can be played as an early access title in Australia and Sweden, among others, but will not be released worldwide until next year. Activision reports. At release, the game will receive the Rebirth Island map, along with the already announced Verdansk map.
Warzone Mobile is a battle royale game just like Call of Duty: Warzone. The smartphone version supports up to 120 people per session. Based on that early access version, Activision says it wants to improve performance, polish, gameplay, touchscreen controls and menus, among other things.
In addition to the delay of Warzone Mobile, Activision announced several new features for the upcoming Modern Warfare III and the current PC and console Warzone game. So you get Warzone with Urzikstan in December a new map and Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island, two old Warzone maps, will return to Warzone next year.
