Nubia will release the Z20 smartphone worldwide on Monday. The phone contains an OLED screen on the back, which can be used, among other things, to take selfies with the three cameras that are located on the back of the device. The Z20 is available for 549 euros.

The Nubia Z20 has a 6.42″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a brightness of 430cd/m². The screen has curved edges and has no notch. A 5.1″ OLED screen is incorporated in the back of the Z20 with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. This screen achieves a brightness of 330cd/m². The phone does not include a selfie camera on the front. Instead, the three cameras on the back of the device are used for taking selfies. For this, the second screen is used as a viewfinder.

The Z20 has a primary camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels and optical image stabilization. The device also includes a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom. In addition, like the Nubia Red Magic 3, the Z20 can record videos in 8k resolution with up to fifteen frames per second.

The Nubia Z20 includes a Snapdragon 855 Plus soc and comes standard with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 4000mAh with support for fast charging at 27W via USB-C. The Z20 supports two SIM cards, but does not have a micro-SD slot. A fingerprint scanner is mentioned on the manufacturer’s website, which seems to be on the side of the device.

The Z20 shows many similarities with the Nubia X, which also has a 5.1″ OLED screen on the back. However, the Nubia X still contains a Snapdragon 845 and a smaller 6.26″ screen with 2280×1080 pixels on the front. The Nubia Z20 is available from October 14 on the Nubia website for 549 euros. Earlier, the manufacturer announced that the phone would be released worldwide in mid-October.

Nubia started out as a sister company to ZTE, but in 2015 it became an independent company. In 2017, ZTE reduced its stake in the company to 49.9 percent. Since then, ZTE and Nubia have been associated companies.
