Activision shares CGI trailer for Zombies mode Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

Activision has released the first trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s Zombies mode. This shows that the zombie virus will be used as a biological weapon in the upcoming game. Modern Warfare III will be released on November 10, including the zombie mode.

In the trailer shows how the villain Victor Zakhaev steals two vials of the zombie virus and then uses it against enemies. Subsequently, it turns out that the returning Call of Duty characters Soap, Ghost and Sergei Ravenov form a team and fight the zombies. In an accompanying blog post the publisher further explains that in the mode, players will team up with these characters and fight against both zombies and humans.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be the first game in the Modern Warfare sub-franchise to feature a zombie mode. This mode is being developed by Treyarch and is described by the company as an ‘open world PVE experience with extraction and survival mechanics’. The game will be released on November 10 for at least the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. It is not yet clear whether the game will also be released on the previous generation of Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
