Screen protectors may show the front and bezels of Samsung Galaxy S8
Pictures have surfaced of screen protectors for Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy S8 smartphone. The accessories show that the device has a rounded screen with minimal bezels and also show many openings above the screen.
The screen protectors were the first in a Polish tweet from DforDesign. The twitterer tells Android Police that these are not the fronts of the S8 and S8 Plus, but that they are screen protectors made by another company. According to the sources of the well-established Android fan site, they match the design of the phone well.
These are two phones. Earlier rumors talked about screens of 5.7″ and 6.2″ and although the size cannot be measured, this seems to correspond roughly to the size of the screen protectors. They also show rounded corners of the screen at the point where they bend to the side.
There are many openings above the screen. Some of them are for the proximity sensor and the front camera. Presumably there are also an infrared transmitter and infrared camera to enable an iris scanner, such as the one on the Galaxy Note 7.
Samsung will probably present the Galaxy S8 within a few months. Until now, this happened most often in February, although the smartphone maker presented the S III in May 2012 and the S4 in March 2013. Meanwhile, the rumor mill around the S8 is running at full speed. However, all the photos that appeared before this turned out to be fake.
