Nightlies CyanogenMod 14.1 based on Android 7.1 come out
The first nightlies of CyanogenMod 14.1 based on Android 7.1 have been released. These are early versions of the custom rom, in which various features are not yet available. However, according to Cyanogen, development is progressing.
Themes, among other things, do not yet work on the nightlies of CyanogenMod 14.1, the makers report in their announcement. Cyanogen says users can report bugs, but asks not to report missing features.
The nightlies of CyanogenMod 14.1 are available for a number of devices. At the moment these are the Nexus 6P and 5X, the LG G3 and G4, the Moto G, Samsung Galaxy S5, OnePlus 3, Asus Zenphone 2 and the Xiaomi Mi3w and Mi4. Cyanogen plans to add support for more devices in the coming weeks.
Android 7.1 is currently only available on Google’s own Pixel and Pixel XL. A developer version is also available for the Nexus 6P and 5X. The final update will be released for those devices in December.
