Version 1.4 of CoreTemp has been released. This small, free program can identify and monitor your computer’s processor. Core Temp, for example, shows the temperature and working pressure of the individual cores. on this page a list of all supported processors can be found. The collected information is written into a log, so that it can later be converted into a graph, for example in Excel. It is also possible to control the processor via an Android or Windows Phone app keep an eye on† Since version 1.2, the following changes and improvements have been made:

CoreTemp Version 1.4

New:

  • Power measurements for IA Cores, GT (Graphics core), Uncore and DRAM for Intel Sandy Bridge and newer processors.

Fixed:

  • Dual and quad core VIA CPU support. Corrected VID detection for newer Nano processors and added support for 28nm CPUs.
  • Crash when logging is enabled on machines with 20+ cores.
  • AMD Carrizo temperature detection.
  • Corrected Xeon D codename to Broadwell-DE.

Known issues:

  • Some systems running Windows 10 Anniversary may still have driver load failure.

CoreTemp Version 1.3

New:

  • Support for Xeon D processors.

Fixed:

  • K8 generation of AMD CPUs displayed “Distance to TjMax” text when it was not actually doing that.
  • Recognition for Xeon W3670, W3680 processors.

Known issues:

  • Some systems running Windows 10 Anniversary may still have driver load failure.
