Cosina releases f/0.95 lens for m4/3 mount
Cosina has announced that it will make lenses for the m4/3 camera system from Olympus and Panasonic. In line with the word, the Japanese company has released the Nokton 25mm F0.95 lens for the m4/3 mount.
The Nokton lens has a focal length of 25mm and is very bright, with a maximum aperture of f/0.95. The lens has eleven lens elements, divided into eight lens groups, and has ten diaphragm blades. It is unknown whether these are of the rounded type. The length of the Nokton 25mm F0.95 is seven centimeters, while the lens has a largest diameter of 58.4mm. The filter size is 52mm. The lens is released by Cosina under the brand name Voigtländer and will cost 899 euros, including lens hood. The focus is done manually.
A lens manufacturer previously released such a bright m4/3 lens. For example, the start-up Noktor introduced its Hyperprime 50mm f/0.95 lens derived from a CCTV lens. It was also already possible to screw bright lenses from Leica and Canon to an m4/3 body from Olympus or Panasonic via adapters.
