Teaser points to the arrival of a new Red Dead Redemption game – update
Rockstar Games is likely to announce a successor to Red Dead Redemption soon. The gamemaker has published a teaser and changed the color scheme of its logos on social media. It is rumored to be a prequel.
The teaser is on the Rockstar website and on Twitter, but reveals very little. It is an image of a red area, with the Rockstar logo on it. With the color, the game maker probably refers to the Red Dead series. After publishing the image, Rockstar branded its accounts on Twitter and Facebook with red and black logos, the color scheme that matches the game.
There have been rumors for some time about the arrival of a successor to Red Dead Redemption. In April, a map of what would be the game world of the new game appeared via the NeoGAF forum. Techradar then said it had received confirmation from an anonymous source that it was indeed the map of a new Red Dead game. It would be a prequel to Red Dead Redemption.
Last week, Rockstar re-released the first part of the series, Red Dead Revolver from 2004, for the PlayStation 4. That game originally appeared for the PlayStation 2. The second part, Red Dead Redemption, was released in 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
