Download eDonkey2000 1.2

The eDonkey2000 program is a p2p exchange program that uses the Overnet protocol by default, in addition, many other protocols are available through plug-ins. The developers have released version 1.2 for the Windows platform. The page with the changelog has not been updated at the time of writing, but we can report that communication with the eDonkey servers has improved and a new feature has been added under the name Catalog† The latter is described as follows:

Awesome new feature! catalogs. Catalogs allow you to browse through verified files without the fear that you are downloading the wrong thing. Publishers can create catalogs of their content and publish it on the donkey network. Catalogs are just normal web pages that have been digitally signed by the publisher to assure authenticity. Users can now browse these catalogs safe in the knowledge that they are downloading the correct files. You can now easily publish content on the donkey network without a webserver. And no more hassle of websites going down. Everything is right inside the donkey.
