Illustrate released release 16.5 of dBpoweramp Music Converter. With this audio editing program audio CDs can be ripped and music files from and to mp3, mp4, m4a, wma, Ogg Vorbis, aac, Monkey’s Audio, flac and alac can be converted, while keeping tags. Furthermore, the MP3 tags can be modified and the program can be fully integrated into Windows Explorer, making it easy to call. The basic version, for ripping CDs and converting files, is free. For additional functionality must be paid. Nowadays there is also a version for macOS . In this update the following improvements have been made:

Bug Fixes:
- Multi-encoder can have [origdrive]
- m4a fdk aac the bit rate CBR label was overwritten by VBR [19659004] m4a was showing Audio Quality: Low (lossy) for all files
- Certain tagging or m4a files would fail
- Playlist writer where to. tmp files, it was passing track 1 filename for all tracks on CD in BatchEnd
- Multi-encoder now uses ID Processing DSP for filenames
