9to5Google: Google gives Pixel 8 series two additional operating system upgrades

Google will reportedly release five operating system upgrades for devices in the Pixel 8 series. The current Pixel 6 and 7 series will get three OS upgrades and at least five years of security updates.

According to 9to5Google the upcoming Google smartphone series should receive two additional Android upgrades, compared to the brand’s devices released in the last two years. The medium does not say anything about any additional security updates for the Pixel 8 series. Google is expected to launch the smartphones in question in October this year.
