5g variant of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be released in Europe early next year

The 5g variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be released in Europe in the first months of next year. It is still unknown in which countries this will happen, but the manufacturer is probably looking at which countries providers will start up a 5G network around that time.

It is still unknown which frequencies Xiaomi supports on the 5G variant of the Mi Mix 3, because the specs page of that variant is not yet online and Xiaomi has not shown it in its presentation of the device. Presumably these are 28 GHz bands, which have a small range but allow high data rates. The current variants support a maximum of 4g, as almost all smartphones now do.

The Mi Mix 3 has an OLED screen of approximately 100cm² with a diagonal of 6.39 “and a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The phone has a retractable panel with two front cameras, but unlike the Oppo Find X, for example, it does not contain a 3D face scanner. The front camera is Sony’s IMX756 with a resolution of up to 24 megapixels, which will be in Huawei smartphones this year, for example.In addition, the phone has a low-resolution camera to estimate depth and thus blur the background.

The cameras on the back are Sony’s IMX363 and Samsung S5K3M3+, both with up to 12-megapixel resolution. The Samsung sensor has a telephoto lens for ‘optical zoom’. The camera also supports slow-motion at 960fps for a short time, just like some other smartphones. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-soc. The phone has a 3200mAh battery and supports wireless charging up to 10W.

The phone measures 158x75mm and is almost 8.5mm thick. The weight is 218 grams. Xiaomi leaves 6.7mm on the side, 10.52mm on the top and bottom. There will be variants with lpddr4x memory of 6GB, 8GB and 10GB and storage of 128GB and 256GB.
