505 Games assigns developer for Ghostrunner 2
Publisher 505 Games has commissioned Polish developer One More Level to make Ghostrunner 2. The sequel to the first part that came out last year will be released on PC, Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5.
It is not yet known when Ghostrunner 2 will be released. It’s about a successor to the first movement and the new game is made by the studio that also has the first part to its name. Publisher 505 Games bought the rights to Ghostrunner earlier this year for 5 million euros. The company says it will now double that investment and initially make 5 million euros available for the development of the second part.
The game is being developed for PCs and the new consoles from Microsoft and Sony. The consoles of the previous generation are not mentioned. The first Ghostrunner game appeared in October 2020 and was made with a budget of 2.5 million euros. That was recouped on the day of its release and 600,000 copies have been sold to date.
Ghostrunner is one parkour–slashergame with a cyberpunk theme. The game is available for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. A version for the new consoles will be released at the end of this year and the game should also come to Amazon’s Luna streaming service.
