3DMark results of GeForce GTX 1060 leak out

3DMark test results of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 have been released. In the Fire Strike Performance test, the unannounced video card scores about ten percent higher than that of the AMD Radeon RX 480.

The benchmarks were posted on the Chinese forum Xfastest and were noticed by VideoCardz. The 3DMark score in the Fire Strike Performance test comes out at 11,225 points; the graphics score is 13,215 points. This makes the Nvidia video card about ten percent faster than the RX 480, which scores 11,997 graphics points. The 3DMark score is almost equal to that of the Nvidia GTX 980.

A screenshot of GPU-Z can be seen next to the scores. The software that reads specifications of the video card provides more details about the new GPU. For example, the GPU has a speed of 1506MHz with a boost to 1709MHz. The gddr5 memory runs at 2002MHz, just like the GTX 1070. GPU-Z also confirms that the GTX 1060 has a 192bit wide memory bus, because the memory bandwidth comes out at 192GB/s. It is not possible to say with certainty whether the number of rops and tmu’s is displayed correctly.

The tested card has 6GB of vram. There are rumors that there will also be a 3GB version, although there is no concrete evidence for this yet. Presumably, Nvidia will officially announce the GeForce GTX 1060 on Thursday. The video card should be available a week later. Prices are not yet known, but the suggested retail prices will probably be slightly higher than those of the AMD RX 480.
