The iiyama G-Master GB3461WQSU-B1 monitor has appeared on web shops for 469 euros. This makes it currently the cheapest 34″ monitor that combines a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

The G-Master monitor uses an IPS panel, has FreeSync Premium support and a claimed mprt of 1ms. According to the specifications, the monitor has a brightness of 350cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The monitor has two HDMI and two Displayport connections.

Use of the displayport connection is required to achieve full resolution along with maximum refresh rate. The HDMI 2.0 connections do not offer enough bandwidth for this and are stuck at 3440×1440 at a maximum of 120Hz.

There are not many 34″ widescreen monitors that combine a high resolution with a high refresh rate. AOC released the CU34G2X/BK at the beginning of this year with the same features. That 539 euro monitor has a curved VA panel. The iiyama has no curvature. Other monitors with similar specs are much more expensive.
