2K gives upgrade details for PC remasters of Bioshock games
2K Games explained the upgrade process for PC gamers who already own the Bioshock games and want to upgrade to the upcoming remasters of The Collection. In addition, the game company has published the system requirements to run the games.
The various remasters of the Bioshock games for PC will be released worldwide on September 15, two days after the PS4 and Xbox One bundle. Those who already own the original PC games are eligible for a free upgrade.
For those who already have BioShock, BioShock 2 and/or Minerva’s Den expansion on Steam, upgrading is easy: the remasters will automatically appear in their collection as separate games from September 15th. Those who have the BioShock and BioShock 2 CD-ROMs must provide their Steam account profile information and proof of purchase to be eligible for the Steam remasters. For BioShock 2, the Games for Windows Live key must be entered for Steam activation.
To run the remasters, at least Windows 7 in combination with 4GB of RAM, an Intel E6750 dual-core at 2.66GHz or AMD Athlon X2 at 2.7GHz is required. The graphics card must be at least an AMD Radeon HD 7770 and GeForce GTX 560. However, 2K recommends a quad-core system at 3GHz, along with 8GB and an AMD Radeon HD 7970 or GeForce GTX 770.
