2K Games brings original BioShock to iOS
Publisher 2K Games has announced that the first BioShock game in the series will be released for iOS later this summer. Released in 2007, the game will support both touch controls and game controllers on iOS. The exact release date is not yet known.
The first game in the BioShock series will be optimized by 2K for iOS so that it can be controlled with touch controls, but Made for iPhone game controllers will also be supported. BioShock will be playable on iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4, iPhone 5S, 5C and 5. 2K Games stressed in a statement released Monday that the game will not work on older devices. When the game will be released exactly and how much gamers will have to pay for it has not yet been announced. It is clear, however, that it concerns a ‘premium’ price, which means that one amount has to be paid and that there are no microtransactions.
The mobile version of BioShock will be a complete takeover of the 2007 original in everything, which should deliver a gaming experience on iOS similar to that experienced by gamers on consoles and PC. According to the makers, nothing has changed in the design of the game, in which the player explores the underwater city of Rapture in art deco style from a first-person view and encounters all kinds of strange enemies.
