21 years after release, Worms Armageddon gets major update with new play mode
Worms Armageddon, a game released in 1999, has received a major update. The new software allows more settings for combat and a popular mod for the game has been added.
On the occasion of the release of the update, Team17 has put a video online. This is patch 3.8, and it contains a lot of improvements. For example, the graphics have been addressed and the gameplay should be smoother. Furthermore, players can adjust many more settings to tailor the turn-based battles to their taste. And it is now also possible to add AI opponents in online pots, and to take advantage of the popular RubberWorm mod.
Team17 says it has given Worms Armageddon a major update in honor of Worms’ 25th anniversary. The first game in the popular series was released in 1995.
Worms Armageddon is available on Steam and GOG and costs 15 euros. The game was released for Windows 95 in January 1999. Even with the software update to version 3.8, there is still compatibility with this Windows version. The game was released on Steam in 2013.
